Patrizio Di Guevara Fabbri, CEO
Patrizio is a seasoned petroleum industry executive with direct oil and gas exploration and production experience spanning 27 years.
During the early 90s, Patrizio assisted USOCO (United States Oil Corporation) in its drive to expand into more lucrative markets, thereby increasing sales volumes by 75% and positioning the company as the third largest North American petroleum products provider by volume. In 1994, Patrizio joined Gulf Chemical as a part owner and regional (Florida) executive, where he grew his division to become the largest provider of oil based lubricants to the state. Some of Patrizio’s Gulf Chemical experience included the in-house trading of crude oil and LNG.
However, it is his work as a joint owner of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (POOC) from 1998 to date that has most carved Patrizio’s industry experiences. Producing some 67,000bbls daily, POOC is Nigeria’s largest private oil producing concessionaire by volume and directly employs over 800, requiring constant interface with ministry officials and oilfields workforces alike to manage the company’s Government JV (PSA) in Lagos and local relationships in the Delta respectively. In 2010, POOC ceased on-site gas flaring in favour of boosting lease condensate production with sister company, Newcross Petroleum. Once again, Patrizio’s roles paid dividends via the company’s acquisition of new blocks, culminating in his control of POOC and related companies.
